Tuna Confit, Salade Niçoise

By marinating our Island Brand Tuna Saku blocks, and then poaching them slowly in olive oil with fresh herbs, the resulting Tuna Confit makes an elegant and delicious addition to a beautiful Salade niçoise. Made from fresh green beans, baby potatoes, olives, ripe tomatoes, boiled eggs, and seasonal greens topped with a vinaigrette, this colorful salad also pairs well with a seared or grilled Island Brand Tuna Steak.  Served as an appetizer or entrée, Island Brand Tuna and salad make a great summertime combo and a tasty addition to any menu.

Seared Tuna Crusted with Sesame Seeds

Marinated in soy sauce, lime juice, and olive oil.  Served over a sushi rice cake with Korean chile pepper and lime sauce, and garnished with fresh avocado and radishes.

Mediterranean Sword Kabobs

Marinated in olive oil, lemon zest, coriander, and fennel seed.  Seared and served on a bed of hummus with a summery fresh salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, capers, and scallions.
